French Marigold Flower

Ruffled, deep yellow blooms cut whole with a short stem. The petals are more assertive than most edible flowers: citrus and tangy, with a peppery edge behind it, closer to grapefruit peel than to a sweet flower. Use them where you want colour that earns its place on the plate.
