Food should be accountable
Every tray we cut can be traced back to its seed lot, its sowing date and its growing conditions. If you ask us how something was grown, you get an answer, not a reassurance.
Why this farm exists
our story
I am the son of a farmer. Like most of my generation, I was told that the way forward was out — go to the city, go to university, find work that does not leave dirt under your nails.
So I went. And what I discovered at university was that I had not left agriculture behind at all; I had only started to understand it. The science of how a plant actually grows, what it takes up, what it holds in its tissue — that turned out to be the thing I wanted to spend my life on.
What decided it was something closer to home. In Vietnam, people eat vegetables every single day that nobody can account for. Sprayed on a schedule nobody records, harvested before the withholding period is over, sold through a chain where no one is responsible for what is on the leaf. We all know this. We eat it anyway, because there has not been a real alternative.
I cannot fix an entire food system. But cancer rates in this country are not an abstraction to me, and clean food is the piece of that problem I am actually equipped to work on. That is why this farm exists — not as a lifestyle, and not as a brand. As a specific answer to a specific problem.
where we are today
At the moment, almost everything we grow reaches restaurants through a distribution partner who sells our produce on. It has been a good way to learn the trade: we found out quickly which varieties a kitchen actually reorders, and which ones only look good in a photograph.
But it also means most of the chefs plating our microgreens have never heard our name, and cannot ask us a question about how their food was grown. That is the gap this website is here to close.
We are keeping our partner. We are also, for the first time, opening direct conversations with kitchens, hotels, retailers and families who want to know where their food comes from.
The other change is that we now sell what we grow with, not only what we grow: seed, trays, growing media and LED grow lights, the same ones on our own benches. A farm that will not tell you how it grows something is hiding the method; we would rather sell you the method and be judged on whether it works.
why we sell seed, trays and lights
When we started, the hardest part of growing was not the growing. It was finding seed, trays and grow lights in Vietnam that we could rely on. What we could buy here was hit and miss, so we went looking further afield.
We imported from one market after another. Every lot of seed, every tray and every light went onto our own benches and was grown out before we believed its label. Most of it failed. We tested and failed a hundred times before we knew exactly which products were good.
That is all we sell now: what passed. Our seed germinates at more than 85%, and we guarantee it. Our trays, domes and mats are exactly what their specification on this site says, because we check them against it ourselves.
Quality like that is not the cheapest, and we will not pretend it is. It is a fair price for something that works — and it costs you far less than a failed crop, or a hundred trials of your own.
You should not have to fail a hundred times like we did. Start with what we have already proven, save the time and the money, and keep your attention on your business. The rest, we can cover for you.
what we promise
Every variety is grown out on our own benches before it goes on sale, and germinates at more than 85%. That is a guarantee, not an average we hope for.
Size, depth, drainage and material are written on every tray, dome and mat in the store, and that is what arrives. If it is on the page, it is true of the product.
Good products cost more than the cheapest ones, so our prices are not the lowest. They are fair for something that works, and lower than the crops and the weeks you would lose finding out the hard way.
Which seed for which tray, how much light, how densely to sow: ask us. We have already made the mistakes, so you can spend your time on your business instead.
how we work
We would rather be the farm that finds out first than the farm that waits to be asked.
New varieties go through trial cycles on our own benches — germination rate, yield per tray, shelf life, and how the flavour actually holds up two days after cutting. Only what survives that goes on the list.
Vertical farming, substrate science, post-harvest handling and food safety standards move quickly. We read, we visit, we ask, and we bring back what applies to growing conditions in Vietnam.
Light hours, temperature, humidity, water and seed density are recorded for every crop cycle. When a tray underperforms we can say why, and change one variable at a time.
Our ambition is not to be one more supplier. It is to be the reference point for what clean, traceable produce looks like in this market — and to make that ordinary rather than exceptional.
what we believe

Every tray we cut can be traced back to its seed lot, its sowing date and its growing conditions. If you ask us how something was grown, you get an answer, not a reassurance.

Clean, safe produce comes from how the farm is built — controlled environment, clean substrate, short cycles — not from a certificate on the wall.

Micro herbs and edible flowers are treated as a luxury import. They are not. They grow beautifully here, and they should be on Vietnamese tables first.
We would rather show you the farm than describe it. Visits are welcome by appointment.
Ask the farm
Ask anything about how we grow, what we sell, or how to grow it yourself. Answers come from this site — for an order or a delivery day, call us.
